How to Put 3D Spring into Your Life in 2020

At Precision Physio, our motto is to ‘Create Greater Lives!’ However, it is often a common misconception exactly what it is we do as Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists. Getting a patient to feel better, or to show them how to activate a muscle is very easy; but if you want to really fix your injuries, train better or perform at your highest level; then this is where Precision Physio can really help you.

Continuing from our SMART goals blog, having a specific goal that is meaningful is crucial to succeeding. In terms of goal setting with Precision Physio, we want to set something that is going to create a great life for you. We will aim high, challenge your body and get your tri-dimensional or 3D Spring back.

But what do we mean when we say, ‘3D Spring’?

We define ‘3D Spring’ as moving in all 3 planes of movement, being able to absorb shock and move with explosive power in those directions.

Being able to perform complex physical tasks with ease. This includes tasks like, hopping, running, handstands and box jumps, just to name a few.

A common quote you might hear therapists discuss with their patients is, “We do not stop playing because we are old, we grow old because we stop playing” (Benjamin Franklin).

Over time, with less physical activity, we lose our flexibility, strength and confidence to move. Simple tasks like climbing stairs, standing on one leg, playing with our kids or even getting out of bed becomes a real struggle.

This is where we differ at Precision Physio. It’s easy to make things feel better for you, but by addressing what you’re really struggling with, we can set meaningful and specific 3D Spring goals to help you create a greater life.

When thinking of your 2020 New Year’s Resolutions and telling yourself ‘New Year, New Me’; to really have a chance of achieving your goals, set something specific and meaningful to you that involves movement in all 3 planes of motion. This is your best chance of creating the great life you want!!

Of course, if you need help, our team of Sydney based Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are ready and waiting to work with you, so to start 2020 in the right way, give us a call and book an initial assessment, then together we will make sure you achieve your impossible, and smash your 2020 goals.
