Coconut Banana Smoothie Recipe

As the winter season approaches, the chances of you getting a cold can increase; however, you can minimise these chances by eating a healthy and well-balanced diet which will build up your immune system and more importantly fight off the sniffles this winter season.

Here is a healthy coconut banana smoothie recipe that is filled with Vitamin C, Antioxidants and Zinc, all of which are important components in keeping our immune system healthy and thriving.

Coconut Banana Smoothie Recipe

Preparation Time:

5 Minutes 

Serves:

1 person 

Macronutrients: 

  • Calories: 359
  • Carbohydrates: 38g
  • Protein: 6g
  • Fats: 19g

Ingredients: 

  • 100g Greek yoghurt
  • Small handful of shredded coconut
  • 3 tbsp of dairy free milk (Or can be dairy containing milk)
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 small slices of apple
  • 3cm piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 small ripe banana OR handful of berries
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • 1 tbsp oats
  • juice of 0.5 a lemon lime

Method:

Put all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
