Protein Pancakes Recipe

Keeping breakfast interesting and healthy can be a challenge, but don’t fear, we’ve got you covered with this epic Protein Pancakes Recipe straight from the Dietitian’s at Precision Physio.

We love this recipe because it provides a quality source of protein, low GI carbohydrates, healthy fats and fibre to get your day started right.

The recipe will give you two serves so you have breakfast ready to go for tomorrow, or you can impress your partner with breakfast for them as well!

Protein Pancakes Recipe

Here are the simple steps and all important nutrition information:

Serves:

  • 2 portions

Per serve:

  • 2,055kJ
  • 492 Calories
  • 37g Protein
  • 53g Carbohydrate
  • 13g Fat
  • 7.5g Fibre

Ingredients:

  • 150g Banana
  • 70g Rolled Oats
  • 300mL Skim Milk
  • 30g Protein Powder
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1g Baking Powder
  • 10mL Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 130g Greek Yoghurt (Chobani or other low fat variety)
  • 78g (1/2 cup) Mixed Berries
  • Drizzle Maple Syrup

Method:

  • Combine all pancake ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth (except oil, greek yoghurt, berries and syrup)
  • Add a dash of water if the mixture is too thick
  • Add oil to a frypan on medium heat. Add 2 tbsp of mixture for each pancake and cook until bubbles form. Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes
  • Top with berries, yoghurt and honey
