Precision Physio is a company made up of many great people who really care about the health and wellbeing of everyone who comes to see us. This high level of care is evident as soon as you meet Rawan Haydar, one of our great Physiotherapist’s based in St Marys.
In this series, we catch up with the people who make Precision Physio tick and give you an insight into the individuals charged with improving your health!
Meet the Team: Rawan Haydar – Physio St Marys
Q: When did you join Precision Physio
RH: I joined Precision Physio in 2023 straight out of uni.
Q: Highlight of you time so far at Precision Physio
RH: Best thing about Precision is being a part of a fun, enthusiastic team!
Q: What made you want to become a Physio
RH: After a snow trip went south, my mother tore her ACL, MCL and meniscus. She had to go through extensive physio rehab and I accompanied her purely for translation purposes. By the end of her rehab, it had sparked an interest in the field for me as I was able to see my mum improve both physically and emotionally. Here I am, with a physiotherapy degree 7 years later…
Q: What’s your treatment philosophy
RH:
Strong Therapist-Client Relationship.
I am a strong believer in building solid rapport with clients. There’s nothing worse than having a physio who just treats you and does not get to know you personally. If our session is full of conversation and laughter, then we are definitely on the right track.
Q: When you’re not working what do you like doing
RH: Outside of work I enjoy bouldering, bushwalking, escape rooms and reading a good book.
Q: Favourite sports team
RH: I am an NRL fanatic. Friday night footy is a religious holiday in my household.
Born and bred Doggies supporter!
Q: Favourite movie or TV show
RH: Favourite movie without a doubt is “A Quiet Place” – you can’t get better acting than that! However, there is no better series than Harry Potter. TV show- has to be Game of Thrones (I actually quite liked the ending).
Q: Favourite food
RH: There’s nothing like good Italian food to satisfy my carb cravings.
Q: If you’re in charge of music in the clinic, what’s playing
RH: Old School R&B – all the time.
Q: Something not many people know about you
RH: Retired crazy cat lady (I had 15 cats at one stage).
