Precision Physio is a company made up of many great people who really care about the health and wellbeing of everyone who comes to see us. This high level of care is evident as soon as you meet George Karpathios, one of our great Physiotherapist’s based in St Marys.
In this series, we catch up with the people who make Precision Physio tick and give you an insight into the individuals charged with improving your health!
Meet the Team: George Karpathios – Physiotherapist St Marys
Q: When did you join Precision Physio
GK: I joined the Precision Physio team in early 2022.
Q: Highlight of you time so far at Precision Physio
GK: The atmosphere! Precision is a young team with the ability to have fun with our clients all whilst ensuring we give the best possible treatment.
Q: What made you want to become a Physiotherapist
GK: Growing up playing Rugby League at representative level I experienced my fair share of knocks and niggles, spending a lot of my time with Physios. Here I developed an interest for the profession and wanted others to achieve the same results I had.
Q: What’s your treatment philosophy
GK: I strive to get your body into a better state than you previously were. The fact that you are here means that your pre-injury level was not good enough. I may like you, but if I don’t have to see you again I have done my job.
Q: When you’re not working what do you like doing
GK: By nature, I am a very competitive person. Put me in any situation where I have an opportunity to perform you have piqued my interest. Whether that is a game of footy, cards with the boys, or gaming on the PC, I will make an appearance.
Q: Favourite sports team
GK: There is one sport I follow religiously and that’s the NRL. Luckily for me I support the best team otherwise known as the Wests Tigers (yes, I’m still living off the 2005 vibes).
I do enjoy watching other sports including the AFL, NFL, and NBA for the sports themselves, but I don’t follow any specific teams.
Q: Favourite movie or TV show
Q: Favourite food
GK: I am a sucker for a nice cheat meal but no single food or cuisine. The dirtier the better.
Q: If you’re in charge of music in the clinic, what’s playing
GK: Anything with an upbeat tempo. Techno/trance/hardstyle music always works but I would probably get kicked off the music rights in the clinic not long after.
Q: Something not many people know about you
GK: I wanted to go into a trade as I was finishing school but my parents convinced me to study. Thankful for it now.
