Precision Physio is a company made up of many great people who really care about the health and wellbeing of everyone who comes to see us. This high level of care is evident as soon as you meet our Physiotherapist Francesco Chu, one of the great team member’s based in Concord.
In our behind the scenes series, we catch up with the people who make Precision Physio tick and give you an insight into the individuals charged with improving your health!
Meet the Team: Francesco Chu – Physiotherapist Concord
Q: When did you join Precision Physio
FC: I joined in April 2022!
Q: Highlight of you time so far at Precision Physio
FC: I really like the environment, team culture and learning opportunities. Everyone is very supportive, inclusive and willing to help if there’s something I can improve on.
Q: What made you want to become a Physiotherapist
FC: I wanted to help people and have an active, hands-on career. I injured myself as a junior athlete and physio is what made it possible for me to get back to sport, so when it was time to choose a career, physio was the thing that made the most sense to me and I stand by that choice.
Q: What’s your treatment philosophy
FC: I like to connect with the people I treat, understand what they want from treatment, and educate them on how physio can help. If someone understands why they should do what I suggest, and they can see how it can help them do what they want, then they have all the incentive they need to hit their goals and make that change last.
Q: When you’re not working what do you like doing
FC: When I’m at home, it’s gaming with friends, putting a sitcom on in the background, eating and sleeping. When I’m out, it’s badminton, bouldering, chilling with friends, and more eating.
Q: Favourite sports team
FC: I haven’t been able to bring myself to be fully invested in pro athletes again after years of watching my favourites stumbling at the final hurdle. I don’t think I can handle another upset.
Q: Favourite movie or TV show
FC: It’s a bit of a tie between a few mainstream sitcoms, such as FRIENDS, The Office, How I Met Your Mother and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Q: Favourite food
FC: I don’t think I could ever answer this properly. There’s way too much good food out there.
Q: If you’re in charge of music in the clinic, what’s playing
FC: I listen to the same few songs for months on end, so to avoid too much repetition in the clinic, I just put on the other clinicians’ playlists. They’re pretty lit.
Q: Something not many people know about you
FC: I’ve hit my head a fair few times as a kid. Causes include various balls from various sports, jumping off a set of stairs and sprinting into a table. Thankfully, the affected head still works reasonably well.
