Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If you have been injured at work, it is important that you:

– Report your injury to your Employer

– Lodge a worker’s compensation claim with their Insurer

– See your GP and obtain a Certificate of Capacity, and referral for treatment

You will need to provide us with your Employer’s details, the Insurers and Case Manager’s name and contact details, and your claim number.

If your claim has been accepted, you can access up to 8 sessions without pre-approval. We take care of the rest including billing the insurer, future appointments and treatment plans, and communications updating your support team.

Your support team refers to those individuals involved in the management of your claim, treatment, and return to work. This includes your Employer, GP, Case Manager, in some cases a Rehabilitation Provider, and your treatment providers.

Your support team works together with you to ensure you receive appropriate treatment and care to facilitate your recovery and to support you with safely returning to your role or recovering whilst at work.

We recommend wearing comfortable and loose clothing for Physiotherapy. We provide towels, and draping and have enclosed rooms for privacy if required.

We provide extended business hours to work around your work, family, and personal commitments. If you are unable to attend an appointment, it’s important to reschedule within the same week where possible to stay within your treatment expectations.

We ask for adequate notification of any cancellations at least by 8:30 am on the day of the scheduled appointment. Whilst some circumstances may be out of your control, failing to attend appointments will delay your recovery, but also means that others miss out. Continued dismissal of our Attendance Policy may result in discharge from future treatment with Precision Physio.

Your privacy will be protected at all times. We will only use or disclose information that is relevant to treating the injury and facilitating the return-to-work process. Our Client Details form seeks your consent to share relevant information prior to commencing treatment.
