Choosing a career path isn’t always straightforward—just ask William Ngo, an Exercise Physiologist at Precision Physio St Marys. What began as a fascination with astrophysics transformed into a passion for human health, movement, and empowering others to take control of their well-being. Today, William combines his love for teaching and physical activity to deliver personalized care that goes beyond the clinic. Let’s dive into his story and philosophy.

A Journey Fueled by Passion and Curiosity
William’s career started with a twist. After a year studying physics at UNSW, he realized his true calling lay in health and fitness.
“I’ve always loved staying active and helping others,” he shares. This led him to pursue exercise physiology at USYD, where he discovered his knack for blending science with hands-on care.
Now at Precision Physio St Marys, he’s committed to helping clients achieve lasting health—whether recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, or chasing athletic goals.
A Foundation Built on Sport and Education
Long before his career in exercise physiology, William’s life revolved around sports. Growing up, he played competitive badminton and even coached kids, honing his ability to teach and inspire.
His athletic drive expanded to volleyball, where he represented Western Sydney at the NSW Combined High Schools Championships and later played Division 1 for Hills Dragons Volleyball Club in the Sydney Volleyball League. After completing his exercise physiology degree at the University of Sydney, he merged his academic expertise with his firsthand understanding of athletic performance—a combination that now fuels his work with clients.
Empowerment Through Personalised Care
For William, exceptional patient care starts with connection. “It’s about understanding someone’s daily struggles and tailoring solutions to *their* life,” he explains. His approach focuses on education and self-management, equipping clients with tools to thrive outside the clinic.
This philosophy has led to standout achievements, like guiding a client with disabilities to secure a spot on the 2025 Australian Paralympic dragon boating team—a milestone he calls “deeply rewarding.”
Beyond the Clinic: Balance, Hobbies, and New Adventures
When he’s not in the clinic, William stays true to his active lifestyle. He trains in Muay Thai (inspired by a trip to Thailand), surfs waves in the Philippines and Vietnam, and captures stunning aerial footage with his self-built drones (follow his adventures @willflys on Instagram!).
“Staying curious and trying new things keeps me energised,” he says. This balance of creativity and fitness fuels his passion for helping others build healthier, more vibrant lives.
