From Passion to Profession: My Journey to Exercise Physiology

I was always an active kid and knew from an early age that I wanted to pursue a career that connected me to exercise and sport. Over time, that passion evolved as I began to delve into the science behind human performance.

During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a physiotherapy assistant—an experience that reshaped how I viewed exercise and its power to transform lives. I saw firsthand how movement could change the way people feel and, ultimately, how they live. That insight inspired me to pursue Exercise Physiology, focusing on an active, long-term approach to helping people regain confidence and strength.

My Approach to Care

My philosophy of care is grounded in the belief that meaningful change requires consistency, patience, and understanding. Regular and consistent treatment is what we all need to correct faulty movement habits. These improvements don’t happen overnight; it’s about putting in the time to develop more efficient ways to move and maintaining them through ongoing exercise and regular reassessment.

Education plays a central role in my sessions. I believe that when clients understand what is happening, why it is happening, and how to manage it, they gain the confidence to take control of their health. When my clients understand their body and their plan, they are in a much better position to self-manage, and that is what leads to lasting change.

Empowering Every Individual

I feel incredibly fortunate to work with such a wide variety of people and personalities here at Precision—from adolescents and semi-professional athletes to busy parents and older adults who want to live a full, active life.

Whilst it might come as a surprise, my method remains the same for everyone. My goal is to empower every individual who walks into the clinic to move in ways they never thought they could. Everyone visits us for a different reason, but I strive to ensure they all leave with the same perspective: that exercise can change their life for the better, no matter what stage of life they are in.

I always aim to ensure my treatment is collaborative, working closely with clients to establish what is important to them and using that to tailor their programme towards living, moving, and feeling better than ever before.

The Precision Difference

Joining Precision Physio was a natural fit for me. Their approach to treatment is unique – moving beyond simply treating an injury to treating the person as a whole. They focus on making long-standing, meaningful changes that fit seamlessly into each client’s lifestyle.

Right now, my focus is on helping clients understand that they are capable of taking control of their lives and seeing the true value of exercise in doing so. I believe that if we work to achieve that now, then in the long term, Precision will continue to be known as a place where anyone and everyone feels supported in their journey to a better life.

Life Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, I stay true to my message by living an active, balanced lifestyle that keeps me grounded. I enjoy regular exercise, combining functional resistance training with cardio, and I love playing social sports with friends whenever I can.

I also enjoy spending time outdoors—whether that’s adventuring, going to the beach, or catching up with family and friends. Staying active and connected helps me maintain balance and reminds me daily of the benefits that movement brings to every aspect of life.
