Meet the Team: Liam Palmer – Exercise Physiologist Concord

Q: When did you join Precision Physio

LP: I joined the Concord clinic at the start of 2019 after graduating end of 2018.

Q: Highlight of you time so far at Precision Physio

LP: My personal highlight so far has been meeting clients’ family and friends. Seeing the impact we can have on people and they way their inner circle observes their change is an eye opening experience and one I’ll never forget the feeling of.

Q: What made you want to become an Exercise Physiologist

LP: I’ve always seen my health as a top priority and found it served a greater purpose than just making me fit. Helping others see it the same way is something that really appealed to me.

Q: What’s your treatment philosophy

LP: At the moment, my philosophy really centres around allowing the client to feel in control of their recovery, their body, their life and help them set the bar higher for themselves.

Q: When you’re not working what do you like doing

LP: My days off are usually spent tinkering with my 4WD (and finding what to tinker with next) or getting on my mountain bike and exploring new trails.

Q: Favourite sports team

LP: This is a tough one. Depends on the code. My top 2 are Chelsea FC and Sydney Swans. However, surfing and downhill mountain biking are my favourite sports to watch.

Q: Favourite movie or TV show

LP: I’ve watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy more times than I care to admit. I’ll add my favourite TV show for good measure – Seinfeld.

Q: Favourite food

LP: I went to a Turkish restaurant a few weeks back and it changed my life.

Q: If you’re in charge of music in the clinic, what’s playing

LP: I’m usually picking something along the lines of Spacey Jane, STUMPS or RUFUS DU SOL. If its Australian I’m all for it. Out of hours I’ll put on something heavier like Parkway Drive.

Q: Something not many people know about you

LP: I almost signed up for the military before uni.
