physio
Physiotherapy is an evidence-based & scientifically proven effective solution for many types of injuries including;
- pain in many parts of your body such as your back, neck, shoulders, knees & many other types of musculoskeletal pain
- sports injuries
- strains & sprains
- some types of headaches and arthritis
- car accidents & whiplash
- posture-related problems
Extensive research has shown that using physiotherapy to correct predisposing factors that contribute to injury can be extremely beneficial in many areas such as increasing core strength, correcting foot biomechanics using orthotics, and restoring correct neuro-muscular co-ordination & movement patterns.
Our intensive internal & external clinical development program ensures that our physio’s are fully up-to-date with the latest developments in this exciting area.
Our physio’s will work with you in providing the fastest, most effective & long-term solution to your problems. Your treatment plan will usually include a combination of;
- Hands-on treatments such as joint mobilisations, manipulation and massage
- Tailored exercise programs that are fast, effective and easy to fit into your normal daily routine. They let you keep working on your recovery between your sessions and may include stretches, strengthening and core stability. They are especially important in minimising the risk of your problems returning in the future.
- We will discuss any important lifestyle factors such as desk postures and exercise activities that may need to be adjusted to help you recover
- We may also use ultrasound, heat, ice or interferential to help speed up your recovery
Keeping the pain away
In many cases there is more than one factor contributing to your pain, especially if it is recurrent or has been there for a long time. Often getting rid of your pain is the easy part, and stopping it from coming back is the real challenge. At Precision Physio we provide you with lasting freedom from pain, so your treatment program will include specific techniques and exercises that correct the underlying cause of your problems, not just give you temporary relief.From one of our clients…
Arthritis affects most of my joints and the pain in the past has curtailed many of my normal activities. The treatment and management plan devised for me by Precision Physio has led to a marked decrease in my pain levels and increase in the mobility of my joints. I've been able to resume activities that I love and normal everyday activities are no longer a problem for me. Lynne.C
