precision history

Precision Physio was founded by Peter Magner and Chris Jackson in 1997. Both are APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists and hold Masters Degrees in Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. With over 34 years combined clinical experience they lead the Precision team with an immense depth of knowledge, skills & understanding.

With our founding directors possessing such extensive clinical and educational backgrounds it is no surprise that Precision has always been highly focused on delivering premium quality care based on clinical excellence and continuous professional development. Our directors remain heavily involved in our intensive internal physiotherapist clinical development program which focuses on accelerated learning & practical skill acquisition for all of our therapists. This program means that you are ensured of great results no matter which therapist you see.

Precision also works hard to provide career pathways for all of our team including our therapists, support team & administration managers. As the company has now grown to four clinics with a total of over 30 employees we are continuously working on professional and personal development for all of our team. We focus on personalised goal setting & action planning to make sure that each team member is achieving their goals in every aspect of their life, & has a plan to keep them challenged, motivated, learning & rewarded into the future.

Physiotherapy is a rapidly changing & expanding profession & Precision is at the forefront of new developments. We achieve this through regular external education & information activities as well as always watching for new products & technology that will help us add value to our clients.

  • Our intensive internal professional development program for our physio’s is unique throughout private practice physiotherapy in Australia
  • We were one of the earliest physio’s in Australia to bring the GaitscanTM electronic foot biomechanics assessment and custom orthotic prescription system into each of our clinics
  • We have always had full onsite rehab gym facilities at each of our clinics to allow us to include structured exercise-based treatment - an approach that research is increasingly demonstrating is a vital part of long-term recovery and prevention for many injuries
  • We are one of the few Australian suppliers of The Strassburg SockTM, an effective tool in the management of conditions such as plantar fasciitis & Achilles tendonitis

The Precision team and our directors are passionate about maximising the current and future potential of physiotherapy and so we have been a clinical partner with The University of Sydney for the last 5 years. We provide physio students with clinical education placements and open their professional horizons to the great benefits that physio offers to the community as well as to themselves professionally as they enter a diverse, challenging and immensely rewarding career.
